“Time for Gratitude” Fundraising Challenge
We’re asking you to make a special donation to help the Katonah Poetry Series offset its loss of in-person admission payments during this challenging year. KPS is an entirely volunteer-run organization, largely dependent upon your generous donations to help provide an honorarium for each of our top-tier poets.
Our goal is one hundred donations of $53.00 each (pegged at one dollar for each year of KPS’s operation to date) by Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2021. We’ve dubbed this appeal our “Time for Gratitude” Fundraising Challenge. For your donation of $53.00 (or more) you’ll not only be expressing your own gratitude for this extraordinary Series but you’ll also receive from us, along with our gratitude, the following:
- A mailed copy of Gratitude in the Time of COVID-19: The Haiku Hecameron, a 240-page hardbound volume featuring haiku and related forms written by one hundred contemporary poets from 30+ nations on six continents in the first months of the pandemic. The book is edited (and fundraiser copies are donated) by KPS committee member Scott Mason. It has received rave reviews from haiku and non-haiku readers worldwide. This is a limited-time offer, good for donations received by 2/14/21.
- A special listing as one of the “KPS Literati” on our website through 2021.
- A tax deduction of $31.00 (calculated as $53.00 minus the book’s suggested retail price), or commensurately more for any higher donation.
